Immunity App (2014)

1
The Immunity App allows for parents and health care administrators to easily keep track of immunizations at home and to gain insights of overall wellness across the world.

The redesign of the immunization record aims for better accessibility and knowledge of the vaccinations administered to young children, allowing parents to easily keep track of their child's immunization schedule as well as the progress of their health.

The accompanying Immunity app allows for health administrators to easily record the overall health of a region. By logging in an anonymized individual's immunization record into the World Immunization Database, the health status of a certain region is clearly visualized, providing insights that will allow health care administrators to prevent, maintain, or administer steps needed to improve the wellness of that region.

The process involved initial wireframing and userflow of the app, and the final version remains cohesive with the style of the immunization record.

The app scans a location-based bar code found in a patient's immunization record. The app anonymizes the individual using a unique ID# in order to protect the patient's privacy while keeping the information in the database reliable. Once the app successfully scans the record and registers a location, the physician is given a list of vaccines and they are to select which ones they have administered for the patient at that time.

Once the vaccination is successfully recorded, the physician is given a reminder as to when the patient's next vaccination will be and the information is recorded into the World Immunization Database.

Each location has information on the overall wellness of the region, including the rate of vaccinations administered in that area.

By clicking the "View All" feature, the administrator is shown an overall report of vaccination rates happening around the world.
